Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation
The department of psychiatric rehabilitation mainly focuses on social and community services for people with mental health problems. Our primary aim is to develop a comprehensive and feasible rehabilitation programme in actual settings on the basis of the views from multiple aspects of the lives of people with mental health problems including both biological and psycho-social aspects.
We also conduct clinical research, particularly empirical studies, to assess the effects of our rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with medical organisations or community agencies. In addition, we provide our training programmes for mental health professionals to improve their knowledge and skills for services. Through these activities, we interact with service providers, family organisations and user organisations, and address social participation and social inclusion for people with mental health problems.
