Why did you choose the department of molecular therapy?

When I was junior in university, I visited this lab because I wanted to do research as an research assisnant in this lab. There I expressed my enthusiasm for research to the director, and he invited me not as an research assistant but as a research student. Since I wanted to do research on intractable diseases, so I am very happy to be able to do research in this lab.

How is life as a research student? What are the difficulties and enjoyable aspects of your research?

Difficult!
・The experimental results that I have spent a lot of time and effort on are often not good enough.
・I also work part-time job, so I am often too busy to find enough time.

Enjoy!
・When I am thinking about an experiment or when I am discussing or debating with others.
・When I get interesting and good results results from my experiments.
・When I look back on my past, and feel that I have grown.

Message to junior researchers

I used to be, and still am, I think that there is a certain amount of uncertainty about the future. But I think it's the same wherever you go, there is some kind of uncertainty. So I think it is good to challenge first.
